You asked, we answer! Here you will find some of the most frequently asked questions regarding our cake smash photoshoot and its details.
Important FAQ / Themes
How old should my baby be for cake smash?
We recommend to do our cake smash before your baby walks. Imagine them just walking out of the setup! Approximately 11-12mo is good.
What are the setups for indoors?
Each cake smash package includes one set up shown in our look book.
Can I take family photos in the themed setups?
Due to the smaller size of baby themed setups, adults will not be able to comfortably fit in. Family photos are done against coloured backdrops such as white, black, brown, pink, subjected to a family top up.
Can I do milk bath but not cake smash?
Yes. Please secure our family package that comes with 2 themes and all photos. One of the 2 themes can be upgraded to a milk bath at a top up surcharge.
Outfits / HMA
How many outfits can my baby wear?
One outfit per setup only. However we do change outfits between the different setups!
Are the outfits standard to the theme?
For some themes where we only have one outfit, yes. For other theme where we have more, you can choose the one you prefer. Feel free to bring your own if you'd like!

What if I want Hair and Makeup?
We have some artists' contacts for you in a prep guideline we send. Contact them directly as we do not take any commissions. You can use our studio or have them doll you up in your home! However, please let us know your preference on this.
Outdoor Shoot
How do you calculate the hour/timing of the shoot?
It usually takes 45-90mins.
We also consider the children's energy level to get the best outcome.
For outdoor, additional time may be required walking around the location etc.
Bad weather. What now?
Reschedule. No charge.
That is provided our customer and us both decide to reschedule due to weather forecast a couple hours before the shoot.
Once on location however, we will not be able to replace the lost time nor reschedule.

How long before I get my lovely photos?
Hang in there! After 2 weeks we will send you a link for downloading your softcopies.
What is the difference between basic edited and fully edited photos?
Basic edits include overall brightness, colours and cropping adjustments. Full edits bring it one step further with skin retouching/slimming or any specific requests on the persons in the photos.
I am not sure about posing. Will the photographer guide me?
The photographer will guide you through all the poses. If you have any preferred references please let her know.
